From 4 to 6 p.m. Oct 28, Great Basin Brewing Co., 846 Victorian Ave., Sparks, is presenting happy hour with Tom and Bonda Young and with chef Mark Estee. The Youngs, founders of the Great Basin group, recently merged their company into Estee’s company.

The happy hour offers a chance to reminisce about Great Basin, learn what’s ahead, sample sausages made at the chef’s Liberty Food & Wine Exchange and sip $4 pints of most craft beers. Details.

Trick or treat on “auto” at downtown Reno museum

From 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31, the National Automobile Museum, 10 S. Lake St., is presenting Trick or Treat in the Streets, with street scenes inside the museum, treats, games and a 5 p.m. costume contest. Kimmie Candy of Reno is joining with the museum to offer the event.

Admission: $2 for children, $3 for adults, free parking in museum lot. Details.

Eddy House 10th anniversary benefit helps youth in need

From 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 13, Eddy House, a Reno nonprofit that helps at-risk and homeless youth develop life skills, celebrates 10 years of community impact with a fundraiser at Whitney Peak Hotel, 255 N. Virginia St., featuring drinks ,dinner and dancing.

Changes to Yellowstone lodging, tour and dinner reservations

It’s smart to plan well in advance to visit or stay at a national park. Beginning April 2022, the booking window for campgrounds, lodges, tours and dinners at Yellowstone National Park will change to a 13-month rolling calendar.

Specifically, on the fifth of each month, the new system will begin accepting reservations for the same month of the following year. For example, starting April 5, 2022, folks can make reservations for properties and events for the month of April 2023. Visit here for details and reservations.
