A taste of honey: Bees and beekeeping workshop
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 22, Mason Valley Beekeepers is offering its Introduction to Bees and Beekeeping Workshop at the Catholic Center, 311 Virginia St., Yerington. The workshop covers basic bee biology and terminology, beekeeping equipment and caring for a bee colony.

Brew HaHa tasting supports local arts foundation

The annual Brew HaHa event returns to the Nugget Casino Resort, 1100 Nugget Ave., Sparks, beginning 8 p.m. Jan. 29. The event benefits Sierra Arts Foundation and features beer tasting, live music and works by local artists. The foundation provides programs and support for Northern Nevada’s creative community.
