Data centers and logistics. The Tahoe Reno Industrial Center has always catered to the tech industry here in Northern Nevada—Tesla, etc. It’s the technological hub of the West. Reno is connected to major highways and has an airport. It’s like the casinos went away. But the bad thing is that there is urban sprawl—malls everywhere.

The nightlife, the entertainment. I’m a college student, and it’s very social here. I like to go out on the weekends and sometimes during the week and hang with my friends. There are a lot of great bars and clubs in Reno. Also, there are a lot of cool concert venues like Cargo and raves outside at the J Resort.

The jobs. There is plenty of work out at USA Parkway. Reno is also best known for Burning Man. Reno is the destination before the destination. Reno is known for being close to Lake Tahoe. You can swim and ski up at Tahoe. Reno has a free spirit and has many different cultures.

Reno is known for its diversity. Reno is a city that always has something going on. It’s very welcoming to people, both local people and tourists. I get to meet a lot of people here. I feel alive living here. I feel like I’m swimming in a river and not stagnating in a pond.

Reno is known for its higher education. UNR is here. The nursing school here is one of the best, but hard to get into. I came here for the business program. I’m going to be a financial adviser. I didn’t want to go to UNLV. I wanted a new environment; I wanted to come to Reno for the in-state tuition and to be independent.
