Truckee Meadows Community College presents Nevada Proscenium, a new body of large-scale geometric abstraction paintings by Reno-born artist Amadour. This exhibition marks Amadourโ€™s first solo institutional exhibition in Nevada and a return to TMCC, where the artist previously studied. Drawing from the stateโ€™s mining legacy, desert topographies and vanished structures, Nevada Proscenium explores how โ€œplaceโ€ is experienced, remembered and made visible. There will be a public reception from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, in the Main Gallery, located on the first floor of the Red Mountain Building at TMCC, 7000 Dandini Blvd. The exhibition runs through June 18 and is open during regular business hours.
