Catch a wave, and tune in to the sunny sounds of Surfer Girl! Carter Reeves, the brainchild behind the reggae pop/rap sensation, has been crafting a bright, rhythmic sound for a few years now. After going viral with hip-hop duo Aer in the 2010s, Reeves poured groovy basslines, plucky guitar chords and tasty drum beats into Surfer Girl, helping the new project become adored in the modern reggae space. Surfer Girl will bring the island vibes to Lake Tahoe at 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, at the Crown Room Inside Crystal Bay Casino. Tickets are $26.19. Chronixx, JOBY!, almost monday, Dominic Fike, and the Jonas Brothers.

What artist, genre or musical trend does everyone love, but you don’t get?

I’m asking Paul McCartney if he wants to go for a surf.
