Care By Design specializes in CBD products, and I tried the company’s 18:1 “CBD-Rich Sublingual Spray.” The only ingredients are organic cannabis oil and coconut oil, and the only instructions are to shake well and spray a couple times under your tongue. CBD is supposed to be effective against inflammatory disorders, so let’s see how it works on my sore shoulder.
A test run with the recommended two sprays produced little effect (full disclosure: I’m a human giant), so I doubled down and squeezed two more sprays. The taste isn’t great but it’s not disgusting either, just leaf and lemon with an oily finish, and a swig of soda erases any lingering unpleasantness. My muscles felt drowsy after 15 minutes, while my head remained relatively sharp, producing a mind-body separation similar to jet lag.
