A city vehicle traveling north on Valley Road last week carried a load of street signs. As signs age, the city is replacing those that are in all capital letters (as with the Sixth Street sign here) with upper/lower case signs (as with the Peavine Creek Road sign) because they are considered more readable, a change encouraged by something called the Uniform Traffic Control Devices standards.
