Just when you thought 2006 was going to be an Against Me!-less year for your record collection (remixes don’t count), here comes Americans Abroad!!! Against Me!!! Live in London!!!. Having picked gems from their three LPs, you may not need to make that best-of Against Me! mixed-tape after all. I know what you’re thinking: “Live punk recordings are a dubious enterprise.” Rest assured, Live in London!!! is riddled with fidelity. J. Robbins (Jawbox) turns the knobs, and once you’ve heard Against Me! live, you won’t have use for the band’s studio efforts. Though this album is released under the Fat Wreck Chords banner, it will be their last; the Gainesville four recently found shelter under the umbrella of a major label, Sire Records. Let’s hope the move doesn’t affect their heart and vigor.
