John Benneth and Friends present My Dinner with the Mysterious Stranger, based on Mark Twain’s short story The Mysterious Stranger, and served with a gourmet dinner. Benneth says he chose this Twain story because several people had told him this story had more of an effect on them than any other literary work. Performances will take place 6 p.m. Saturdays Dec. 28-Jan. 25. Tickets are $125 advance seating. Performances will be held at Mackay Mansion on the corner of Flowery and South “D” streets in Virginia City. Call 847-5208 for reservations.
