SpongeBob Squarepants: Halloween

This is one of those shows that I would blast right by on Nickelodeon, until I checked out this DVD. More than two hours of SpongeBob material is a bit much, but this is pretty funny stuff, considering it’s a kid’s cartoon. SpongeBob looks like a household sponge in short pants, but he is actually an ocean dweller working in a restaurant for Mr. Krabs, a crab creature selling seafood in direct competition with the evil Mr. Plankton’s The Chum Bucket. Clever, weird and just a bit touched in the head, its sense of humor more than makes up for its simple animation. Good for some laughs, and sure to warp the kids’ sense of humor. The disc contains sneak peeks into the SpongeBob video game and 10 episodes of the show. Again, a little too much for me, but fans will have fun.
