Local indie pop-punk band Big in Japan releases its second CD, after Destroy the New Rock, which was released in 2001. Who Really Needs a Heart, Anyway? makes its debut 8 p.m. June 18 at the band’s CD release party at Club Infinity. Along with BIJ, Pink Black and Victims of Sacco-Vanzetti will play. The show is all-ages with a bar for those people with IDs. And as a special treat for showing up early, the first 30 people at the club will receive free BIJ CDs. The young members of these bands are hoping the New Oasis can become an Ark-a’ik-like venue offering more affordable shows than Ark-a’ik typically did when it was open.
