The Savage Jazz Dance Company brings its high-energy dances to Virginia City this weekend. Founded in 1992 by Reginald Ray-Savage, the company is one of the few all-jazz concert dance groups in the country. The multi-ethnic ensembleโ€™s repertoire includes works performed to the music of Miles Davis, Duke Ellington and Charles Mingus as well as contemporary jazz composers like Marcus Shelby. The Savage Jazz Dance Company performs 7 p.m. March 27 at Piperโ€™s Opera House, 12 North B St., in Virginia City. Tickets are $12 general and $8 students. Call 847-0433.
