Jeanette Rankin, the first U.S. Congresswoman, is the subject of Nevada Shakespeare Company’s A Single Woman. NSC’s Jeanmarie Simpson portrays the lifelong pacifist, who was the only member of Congress to vote against our country’s entry into World War II. Rankin was also a world traveler and admired by people such as Martin Luther King Jr. NSC debuts the show in Fallon before heading to California for a three-weekend run in Sacramento.
