“Poetry is really a foil for me,” said Shaun Griffin, who will spend his second term as Nevada Poet Laureate continuing to teach poetry to Nevada inmates. “I tell them that I will be happiest if they stay out of prison. I’m there to use poetry to help them get back to who they were before this all started.”
