The band lost frontman Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines and backup singer Cassie Gaines to a plane crash in 1977. Now, Ronnie’s brother, Johnny Van Zant, leads the band—celebrating their catchy and twangy rock songs, some of which have outlived the creators.
