In our latest Streetalk, locals explain to Dave Robert how the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions rearranged their work lives. Lost wages, a boom in an online business and Zoom fatigue were among the effects of the new normal.
Movie/TV reviewer Bob Grimm praises “The Old Man,” a series that casts Jeff Bridges as a retired government agent who is on a collision course with the sudden and unexpected consequences of his violent past. But Bob was disappointed by “Spiderhead,” a Netflix flick about unethical experiments on prisoners, which he says has a strong cast but a predictable (and boring) plot.
In the Music section, Matt King asks Bobby Benedict, the singer/guitarist for local band Sad Giants, The Lucky 13. Turns out the Red Hot Chili Peppers have played a large part in his musical life.
