Many theater companies choose Shakespeare’s more lighthearted fare when putting on summer productions. But not Brüka Theatre. They’re presenting one of the Bard’s darkest, goriest plays: Titus Andronicus. The tragedy focuses on two feuding families whose appetite for revenge knows no bounds. Instead of ancient Rome, Brüka sets the play in the present day, but its themes of violence are applicable in any time. Performances are 8 p.m. July 2-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24 and 29-31 at 99 N.
