Many theater companies choose Shakespeareโ€™s more lighthearted fare when putting on summer productions. But not Brรผka Theatre. Theyโ€™re presenting one of the Bardโ€™s darkest, goriest plays: Titus Andronicus. The tragedy focuses on two feuding families whose appetite for revenge knows no bounds. Instead of ancient Rome, Brรผka sets the play in the present day, but its themes of violence are applicable in any time. Performances are 8 p.m. July 2-3, 8-10, 15-17, 22-24 and 29-31 at 99 N. Virginia St. Tickets are $12-$18. Call 323-3221.
