Fans of Southern-fried rock band Southern Culture on the Skids will get a chance to get their greasy little hands on some tickets for the band’s show next month at Big Ed’s.
The restaurant and live music venue will hold a “Fried Chicken Ticket Party” at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12. Tickets will be available for sale to the lucky few who make it in for some free fried chicken and Cheez Whiz appetizers.
Big Ed’s often holds ticket parties in an effort to fairly distribute tickets to events in which demand exceeds availability, according to “entertainment czar” Jeff Cotton. Past sold-out shows at the intimate venue include Todd Snider and Robben Ford. Only 75 tickets will be on sale for the S.C.O.T.S. show.
S.C.O.T.S. will perform Feb. 5 at Big Ed’s, 1036 E. Fourth St. Tickets are $25. For more information, call 348-6494.
