As Nevada Econet shuts its doors, the nonprofit is seeking ways to keep Reno’s Earth Day going. The Community Foundation of Western Nevada is accepting proposals now through Aug. 11 from organizations interested in coordinating Earth Day in 2012 and beyond. A selection committee will review the proposals, and seed money of up to $5,000 may be available. To be considered, applicants must show their organizations are financially stable and sufficiently staffed to coordinate the event.
