As Nevada Econet shuts its doors, the nonprofit is seeking ways to keep Renoโ€™s Earth Day going. The Community Foundation of Western Nevada is accepting proposals now through Aug. 11 from organizations interested in coordinating Earth Day in 2012 and beyond. A selection committee will review the proposals, and seed money of up to $5,000 may be available. To be considered, applicants must show their organizations are financially stable and sufficiently staffed to coordinate the event.
