These movies are getting progressively worse, and it doesn’t appear that they will end anytime soon. Tobin Bell returns as Jigsaw again, even though his character died two movies ago. Mr. Bell must be very grateful for that story device called flashback, because his career is getting a lot of mileage out of it. This time, another Jigsaw student continues the murders in the dead killer’s absence, while a detective who looks like a haggard Jason Lee (Scott Patterson) investigates. And, of course, there’s a dungeon-like setting where some people wake up and realize they are going to be the latest victims of Jigsaw, even though the guy is dead. Never liked these movies, and I doubt I ever will. The only way to make them stop is for people to stop seeing them, and while their appeal is starting to wane, Saw VI is pretty much inevitable. God have mercy on our souls, or at least our movie-going eyes.
