Tis the season to be generous and kind, so open your wallets and your hearts for Maisie Barnes, a 5-year-old Reno girl with a rare form of jaw cancer. The proceeds from two independently produced CDs—Maisie’s Mouth and Re:?No!Comp.2000—will help the Barnes family pay for Maisie’s growing medical bills. The CDs are only available at The Melting Pot World Emporium, 888 S. Virginia St., and feature a diverse array of local musical styles from bands such as Lack of Integrity, Sparky Moving Weirdo, Boday Partay and The Livid. I nominate “Captain Stubwart” by the Scurvy Bastards on Re:?No!Comp.2000 for track of the year.
