Author Archives: Brad Bynum

Brad Bynum is a writer, editor, songwriter, musician, teacher and father. His writing has appeared in the RN&R since 2002. He was the paper’s arts and culture editor from 2008 to 2016, and editor from 2016 to 2020. He has a bachelor's degree in literature and a master's degree in music, both from the University of Nevada, Reno. His band Elephant Rifle has released three full-length albums and more than a dozen other releases. He has won Nevada Press Association awards for entertainment writing, critical writing and headline writing, among other accolades. He was born, has listened to a lot of music, seen a lot of art, eaten many meals, and heard many implausible stories in Reno, Nevada.
