War is hellacious, politics voracious

by John Barrette October 27, 2010

I expect big losses for the Democrats, but not for the reasons everyone predicts.

This pastoral setting—a church and a nearby cemetery—are all that remain of the town of Frankford, Texas. There is a historic marker to commemorate the long-ago town, which died out decades ago. The site has been swallowed up by Dallas. Nevada U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle has warned that Islamic law, known as Sharia, has taken over Frankford. “It seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with allowing a foreign system of law to even take hold in any municipality or government situation in our United States,” Angle said. The Ellis County Observer, a conservative website in the next county over from the former Frankford, endorsed Angle after hearing her views on Sharia.
